About the Artist
Mandy Grotie is an award-winning visual artist based in Portland, Oregon. Her work is known for its funky forms, fluid black lines, fading dots, and vibrant bursts of color. Mandy draws inspiration from the weird and wonderful, using symmetry, contrast, and bold palettes to create pieces that feel alive and full of love (or humor). Her art offers a playful, visual pause from everyday life, aiming to spark joy and awaken the senses through a bright, offbeat lens.
Mandy has collaborated with brands like Pabst Blue Ribbon, Portland Thorns and the Portland Trailblazers. In 2014, she won a PBR contest, and her artwork was featured on a billboard in Southeast Portland. She was named Pabst Portland Artist in 2016, creating live art around the city. In 2019, her Gameday Poster for the Trailblazers was sold at the Moda Center, exhibited during Design Week Portland, and featured in the New York Times. Mandy continues to explore new creative paths, always with the intention of bringing humor, color, and positivity into the world.
